KD Travels: A Stylish Guide to Palm Beach [Part Two]
Palm Beach and West Palm Beach are a dream destination for those who love a mix of luxury, history, and impeccable style. This winter, the KD team spent a lot of time in the Palm Beaches — to source vintage jewelry, participate in several trunk shows, and enjoy the sun.
Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, I’m sharing some more of my favorite spots to dine, shop, and explore. Check out part one of our guide, here.
Where to Stay: Luxe Accommodations
The Breakers Hotel – An iconic Palm Beach landmark, The Breakers offers unparalleled oceanfront luxury. From its grand Italian Renaissance architecture to its world-class spa and pools, this historic hotel is a must for anyone seeking a glamorous stay. Enjoy an array of fine dining options on-site, including HMF, a sophisticated lounge with inventive cocktails and small plates.
The Colony Hotel – This pink-hued boutique hotel exudes charm and sophistication. It’s a favorite among fashionable travelers and a fantastic spot for an intimate, stylish retreat. Don’t miss Swifty’s, The Colony’s poolside restaurant, known for its elegant yet relaxed atmosphere and delicious cuisine.
White Elephant Palm Beach – This newer luxury hotel brings modern elegance to Palm Beach with its chic decor and serene atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot for those looking for a more contemporary stay with top-notch service.
Our trip spanned 10 days, so we opted for a charming Airbnb in West Palm’s Flamingo Park neighborhood.
Where to Dine & Sip Cocktails and Coffee
The Palm House Bar — A chic and lively spot for cocktails, The Palm House is perfect for pre-dinner drinks or a stylish night out. Expect a refined ambiance, expertly crafted drinks, and a fashionable crowd.
Swifty’s at The Colony Hotel A Palm Beach staple, Swifty’s offers a refined dining experience in a picturesque setting. The menu features fresh, seasonal ingredients and a mix of classic and innovative dishes.
Le Bilboquet – A French bistro-style restaurant that is always buzzing with stylish locals and visitors. Known for its decadent cuisine and lively ambiance, this spot is great for a leisurely lunch or romantic dinner.
Renato’s –Tucked away in a lush courtyard, Renato’s is an elegant Italian restaurant with a romantic atmosphere and a menu featuring classic pasta dishes and seafood.
Pump House — The best coffee and breakfast options in West Palm. We stop here almost every morning for cappuccino, avocado toast or salmon toast (with edible flowers) or a delicious acai bowl.
Shopping: Vintage, High-End, & Hidden Treasures
The Nix – We had a fun pop-up event at this chic shop, which will become your new go-to source for stylish furniture and home décor. Explore a curated collection of furniture, island-influenced home accents, art, and more. They offer an excellent selection of rattan and wicker items — Catherine came home with a pagoda bed for her cats!
The Church Mouse – A legendary thrift and consignment shop in Palm Beach, The Church Mouse is where the chic set goes to score designer pieces and estate treasures. Expect to find everything from vintage Chanel to fine home decor.
Kofski’s Estate Sales – If you love estate shopping, Kofski’s is a must. Their sales feature high-end furniture, art, and collectibles from Palm Beach’s most elegant homes. Check the calendar of upcoming estate sales on their website - sales take place in a warehouse in West Palm. While this isn’t the place for a bargain, items are unique and high quality. It’s also fun to just browse and get inspiration!
West Palm Antiques Festival — This event is a Florida institution for interior designers, antique collectors, and dealers alike. The show has been held once a month for the last 20 years at the South Florida Fairgrounds. We’ve been attending for the past four years and it’s always a treasure hunt. This year, we went home with beautiful vintage jewelry and a set of malachite curtains from the '60s (I’m planning to have pillows made and Catherine is dreaming of a malachite dress).
Coniglio Palm Beach — A new favorite and must-visit, this color-drenched design studio and retail store is focused on sustainable, shareable, free-size clothing. We love their playful branding, beautiful silks, and fun prints!
Main Street by The Breakers – Start your day with a coffee in this charming cafe-meets-gift shop on Royal Poinciana Way. Browse a wide variety of tablewares, embroidered linens, Jonathan Adler vases, and much more.
Culture & Leisure: Things to Do

Jennifer Balcos Art Gallery – This contemporary art gallery showcases a stunning collection of works from both established and emerging artists. A must-visit for art lovers looking to discover unique and inspiring pieces.
The Society of the Four Arts Gardens – Take a break from shopping for a peaceful escape filled with beauty and history, perfect for an afternoon of inspiration. A green oasis in the middle of the Four Arts Campus, The Philip Hulitar Sculpture Garden and Four Arts Demonstration Garden have provided a world-class garden experience to visitors since 1938. Explore the beautiful works and wonders of renowned sculpture artists, magnificent floral paths, ponds, and fountains in a tropical oasis of two distinct and unique gardens.
Flagler Museum – The former Gilded Age mansion of Henry Flagler, this museum offers a fascinating look into Palm Beach’s rich history. The opulent architecture and guided tours make it a must-see.
Norton Museum of Art – Located in West Palm Beach, this museum houses an impressive collection of European, American, and Chinese art, along with rotating contemporary exhibitions.
Kips Bay Decorator Show House — The Kips Bay Decorator Show House is the nation's premier annual design event organized by the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Each year, a different property welcomes a select group of renowned interior designers, who reimagine individual rooms, which the public can tour for three weeks. If you love interior design, put this event on your calendar.
GreenMarket in West Palm Beach – If you’re visiting on a Saturday, don’t miss the GreenMarket, a bustling open-air market featuring fresh produce, artisanal goods, and delicious treats.
Whether you're indulging in luxury at The Breakers, sipping cocktails at The Palm House, or treasure hunting at The Church Mouse, Palm Beach and West Palm Beach have something for everyone. We love discovering new favorites during each visit.
